Abstract
Cultures were raised from scutellartissue of Oryza sativa L. CV CR 126-42-1 on MS, B5, LS, R-2 nutrient media supplemented with 2,4-D when shoot buds and shoots differentiated from the centrai region of the scuteller tissue were transferred to R-2 medium supplemented with NAA or IAA + coconut water (CW) and casein hydrolysate (CH) plantlets were formed. Mitotic and Meiotic analysis of regenerated plants showed n=12. The plants were grown to maturity and their quantitative characters were also analysed.
